2019 – 2020

In 2019, as the COVID-19 pandemic brought global tourism to a standstill, Watchuman was conceived to remove physical distance as a barrier to experiencing the world. With borders closed and heritage sites inaccessible, travelers could no longer visit the places they wanted to see, and local guides lost their audiences. Watchuman bridged this gap through a shared-economy model that connected users with local hosts, called “Watchumans,” who offered live, real-time guided tours. Its focus was the historic heritage of Lahore, bringing the Walled City, the Lahore Fort, the Badshahi Mosque, and Masjid Wazir Khan to audiences worldwide through interactive virtual tours.

2014 – 2015

VAcademy was an online academy built to take quality programming education beyond the traditional classroom. Learning to program demands extensive practice and timely feedback, yet students often had little access to either, as instructors could not review every exercise individually. VAcademy closed this gap with a curated bank of 2,000 programs and a built-in evaluation engine powered by Natural Language Processing, giving learners automated assessment of their work. At a time when online education in Pakistan was still emerging, VAcademy pioneered AI-driven assessment to make programming practice scalable and self-paced.
